Business Impact Analysis

Business Impact Analysis (BIA) is the first step in Business Continuity Planning. It is a four-phase approach associated with data gathering, study, analysis and management reporting on assessment.

  • Phase 1 - Preparation
  • Phase 2 - Data Collection
  • Phase 3 - Analysis
  • Phase 4 - Reporting

A BIA assessment will enable the client to under their Business Continuity requirements better which include:

  • Define financial impacts and intangible impacts of business interruptions thus justifying investments towards Business Continuity Planning
  • Identify critical business functions
  • Determine business recovery priorities
  • Identify recovery time frame or Recovery Time Objective (RTO)
  • Identify amount of acceptable information loss or Recovery Point Objective (RPO)
  • Define minimum business continuity resources required
  • Identify vital records for recovery

  • Review adequacy of existing business continuity capability

Business Continuity Strategy and Plan Development

CRC propriety Planning and Methodology and Technology involve a five-phase Business Continuity Strategy and Plan Development . The project phases include Project Planning, Recovery Strategy Development, Continuity Plan Development, Plan Testing and Plan Maintenance. CRC can assist in the customization and development of business continuity plans to meet specific needs of an organisation.

We assist in the development of a functional and tested business continuity where each component plan contains the detailed steps necessary to direct the critical functions in performing its responsibilities across all stages of recovery and continuity.
